There was never a doubt in my mind that this book would be awesome NM CATALANO always delivers. Rico and Maria are two broken, angry, lonely lifeless souls looking for a place in a dark world. They find each other unexpectedly and from that moment on they feel the spark of life. If this were a movie you'd be on the edge of your seat. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. It has danger, action, blood, lust, passion, tenderness - WOW! How can so much emotion boil up from just one story?! N.M Catalano nails the intensity and intrigue in this book.
Maria has to run. She has to escape the death that comes after her in New York. She finds solace in Wilmington, NC. A sleepy beach side town where you know your neighbors and everyone who come into the restaurant she works in knows her and her grandmother and aunt. Then enters Rico. Mr. arrogant, mouthy, sexy. She fears him yet is drawn to him. A rush of memories of the life she escaped in NY come flooding back to her and her defenses are raised the moment she sees him.
Rico, a detective, escaping his old life on the streets of New Jersey, came to this quiet, docile town to turn over a new leaf and leave the life that has haunted him for the past 20 years.
Both of their pasts threaten to destroy their future.
This book has everything. It's dark. It's dangerous. It'll get your blood pumping and heart beat racing both from the danger and from the passionate sex. You won't want to put this book down!!!

This book was wow! Hiding was a great book! It really pulled me in from the beginning and had my attention until the end! I always love gang books and also a book with so much action! This is not my first read by N.M. Catalano and will not be my last! I love all of her books and her writing style. Rico and Maria were the perfect couple and the sparks start flying. Once they get past the first impression feelings..it was on!
Rico was a bad boy that left New Jersey to get away from his past after a tragic incident. After 17 years, he became a cop trying to not be the “bad boy”. Except for this case he was working on he didn’t realize that he was going to meet Maria who was Hiding from her past and her future. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time and experienced a murder, so she had to run from New York. Just like the blurb says, she was Hiding from her future. Will Rico and Maria be able to move forward from their pasts?
Hiding is book 5 of the Stranger/Evolution Series, but can be read as a standalone. I know I loved this book and all of N.M. Catalano’s books! This is a must read if you love a good suspenseful book! This book is for you! You will not be disappointed! There is some horror, that could have some potential triggers.

Ever since I read the teaser for this book I have been not so patiently waiting for the release. I love a story with a splash of danger, a heaping dose of romance, and a hint of intrigue. This book did not disappoint.
Well, I just finished another incredible book!!! Seriously, I can feel the passion NM Catalano puts into her work.
Rico has his demons, that's for sure. Is he gonna be able to beat them to save Maria? Or is Maria gonna be the one to save Rico in the end. You're gonna need to read this book to find out! Thank You So Much NM Catalano for yet another incredible read!
This story was so gripping I give it a big 5 stars. I simply couldn't put it down until I finished it. It's a dark journey in two peoples lives that bring them together to hopefully find the closures of their past and the trust to love again. It gets so intense I found myself forgetting to breathe. There is not one of this author's books I haven't enjoyed but Rico and Maria's story is one of my favorites. Grab it and enjoy today!
I met N M by chance on Facebook in March 2015, just six months after her first book, Stranger, was released. And the rest is history, seven books later. She writes using every emotion and her characters are full of depth, drawing you into their lives. There is compassion, darkness, suspense, action, barriers to overcome, steamy sex and always LOVE. As in her previous books, Hiding does not disappoint. We meet Rico and Maria, two strong willed people carrying baggage from their past lives and wanting no entanglements. But their attraction to one another can't be denied. N M weaves a vivid tale of the obstacles and perils, along with downright vicious maniacs, they must overcome in order to be together. Throughout her books we meet up with characters we have met in previous books, kind of like friends forever. Have yet to read one of her books that I cannot give 5 stars. If it says N M Catalano as the author, that`s all I need. If you are into this genre I think you will see five stars, too!
